EUMS Takes Top Honors in STEM Competition

East Union’s Robotics and STEM club competed in the 2nd Annual Career Readiness Middle School STEM Competition on Friday, April 20.  The competition was held at SPCC and included events in Balsa Wood Glider, Popsicle Stick Bridge Building, Tennis Ball Catapult, and Coding with the featured event being Robotics.  

 

East Union was the Overall Competition Winner and placed in the following events:

1st Place Bridge Building – Tia Green, Brittany Avalos, Samantha Capote and Elenis Calzada

1st Place Catapult – Memphis Alvarez, Lyndon Gaddy and JaQuan Grier

2nd Place Catapult – Hunter Mills, Tripp Arant and Dalton Pender

2nd Place Coding – Khloe Bynaker

3rd Place Coding – Melanie Zapata

2nd Place Robotics Qualification Round – Ben Brown and Jose Avendano

1st Place Robotics Elimination Round – Bryson Dermid, Humberto Delgado and Terrell Nixon

2nd Place Robotics Elimination Round – Ben Brown and Jose Avendano
