Welcome Ms. Biggers!
We are so happy to have Ms. Biggers on our staff!
Here are a few words from her-
"I am the third generation to teach at Fairview Elementary. My great grandmother (on my dad's side) taught at the old campus; my mother is an instructional assistant now, and then there is me. I have two dogs, Whiskey and Guinness. They are both adopted and very spoiled. Our family in total has four dogs. My mom, dad, brother and I all still live in Fairview.
In my free time I like to spend time with my grandparents, watch Netflix with my dogs and plan my next travel adventure. I also enjoy spontaneous shopping trips, beach trips and dinners with my best friend.
I am an East Carolina University Alumni and received my BS in Special Education. I am finishing up my Masters in Education program from Queen's University Belfast. My focus is on Inclusion and Special Education Needs. I spent most of the last academic school year in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and I cannot wait to go back!
During my student teaching I taught at one school in Pitt County and another in Lenoir County. Both classes were Special Education-Adaptive Curriculum. I absolutely loved my time in both classes. I owe a big THANK YOU to my clinical teaachers as they gave me lots of resources and insights to help me become a better teacher.
I have only taught Special Education-Adaptive Curriculum. This year I am teaching K-5 CBSS Extended Standards, and I am so excited to watch my students grow."
Ms. Biggers, we are excited you are here at Fairview!
