Audrey Nance was named as Forest Hills' High School Heisman winner. Each school can select only one student to represent it in the Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship Contest. Students must demonstrate high academic successes, athletic performance, community service, and leadership. Audrey was a natural choice.

Academically, Audrey works hard and maintains a high GPA. She has played volleyball and softball all four of her years in high school. She also played basketball as a junior. She has been named to the All-Conference Volleyball Team her sophomore, junior, and senior years, and was an Honorable Mention as a freshman. She was also an Honorable Mention for the All-Conference Softball Team in her freshman and sophomore years.

Audrey likes to serve by helping with special needs children and adults. Here at Forest Hills, she spends one block a day with the Transition to Adulthood (TTA) class. She helps the teacher and assists the students in any way she can. It is easy to see that she and they enjoy the interaction. She also volunteers outside school at Union Diversified Industries (UDI). UDI is the oldest nonprofit for adults with developmental disabilities in Union County. Their mission is "to enhance the quality of life of adults with developmental disabilities by providing habilitation services, enrichment services and vocational training/work experience opportunities in a culturally sensitive environment." Audrey and her mother volunteer there regularly and love it.

Audrey is also an active member of several student clubs: DECA, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). 

All these facets make her a leader and role model at Forest Hills. About being named the Wendy's High School Heisman winner for Forest Hills, Audrey was both proud and surprised. "I was shocked," she said. "There are so many people who apply for this nationally, I couldn't believe that I was chosen for my school."

Wendy's High School Heisman names a male and a female scholarship recipient for each state and then names its national winners.
