FHHS students celebrate the holidays with WBEC students
from Walter Bickett Education Center
We are just amazed at the outpouring of support that the Forest Hills High School students continue to provide to our students. This has been a very longstanding partnership over a decade strong. Last year, in the midst of the pandemic, they were still able to support our students virtually by recording individual book readings for every child while providing copies of the books and clothing.
This year, they more than doubled the number of WBEC students that they provided toys and clothing for (80). At least as important, was their presence and interaction with these students. The level of joy that was experienced by both younger and older students blew the roof off the school. The impact of older role models is immeasurable for these Pre-K students. I students will remember their FHHS friends forever.
These efforts were organized by outstanding club sponsors and their student leaders. Mr.Bryan Rudolf (Student Council), Christi Ponder (Student Council), Jonathan Deese (FFA) and Brooke Phipps (FFA) took on the monumental task of facilitating this visit that brought such happiness. The groups that participated included the FHHS Band, BETA Club, Drama, FCA, FFA,NAHS, NEHS, NHS, ROTC, and STUCO.
The entire WBEC family wishes to thank the Forest Hills High School administration and community for always stepping up to share the holiday season with us!
