Indian Trail students had such an amazing time as they celebrated their love for reading with, “Books and Blankets. Our media specialist, Mrs. Landon, organized this event to celebrate the 99th year for Children's Book Week. Community leaders, parents, grandparents, and staff came to read to all of the classes at ITES! Each class found a comfortable spot outside to spread out their blankets, eat their lunch, and listen to a story read aloud by a special adult. The students enjoyed this and are already asking when the next “Books and Blankets” day will take place! Way to go, Mrs. Landon for your creative and purposeful spin-off of the 3rd and 4th grade, “Books and Brackets!” These younger students felt so special as their love for reading was nurtured!
