FBLA Students Conquer States!
Last week the Marvin Ridge Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter took 52 students to the NC FBLA state leadership conference where students attended workshops and competed in a range of business events. At the workshops students had the opportunity to learn about how to improve their leadership and business skills as well as how to improve their competition skills for future FBLA competitions. Students also had the privilege of listening to the motivational speaker Mama Drill who spoke about her experiences as a mother and as a soldier in Desert Storm and what those experiences have taught her.
Of the 52 students who competed, 46 students earned medals, and 17 students placed first in their events! Marvin Ridge also earned two chapter awards, one for being the largest chapter in North Carolina and another for being the largest chapter in the Southwest region. Out of the students that competed 34 students qualified for nationals in Anaheim, California and are very excited to attend as Hari Vijay reported, “States was a blast with all of the competitors, can’t wait for nationals this summer in Anaheim!” Below is a list of the students that placed in their events at the state competition.
