Mavs Travel to UNC-Chapel Hill for National Ethics Bowl

In January, five members of Marvin Ridge High School traveled to Chapel Hill to compete in the National High School Ethics Students attend National Ethics Bowl Bowl. Once there, teams are presented with an ethical dilemma and asked to respond to a prompt and answer questions in front of a panel of three judges made up of professors and academia from colleges across North Carolina. This is the first time that Marvin Ridge has participated, and the learning experience was truly enlightening. The team finished the day with 2 wins and 2 losses in the debate style competition, that most teams have been participating in for several years. It was a great experience that the students will take with them as they all move on to college next year.
