MRMS Community Service Club Supports Samaritan's Feet

On February 1st, the MRMS Community Service Club visited Samaritan's Feet in Charlotte, NC. Samaritan's Feet is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shoes to children in need across the world.

The MRMS students, along with their advisors, Mrs. Haring and Mrs. Harrell, and additional parent volunteers, participated in various tasks to support the organization's mission such as sorting, cleaning and matching shoes, and trimming shoelaces.  This ensures that each child receives a pair of shoes that fits well. The students' efforts will help in making a difference in the lives of the children who will receive these shoes.

Eighth grader Hampton Gardner described how the experience helped him see how everyday items we think of as simple, such as shoes, clothing and water, can make a big difference in other people's lives.

Samaritan's Feet has provided millions of shoes to children in need, creating a positive impact in their lives. The organization operates in several countries, providing shoes and spreading hope, love, and dignity to those in need. The MRMS students' volunteering experience with Samaritan's Feet was not only a way to give back to the community, but also an opportunity to learn about the impact that small acts of kindness can have on someone's life.
