Health Sciences at Monroe Middle School is celebrating Hispanic heritage month for the 2nd year in a row. Our scholars are learning about their history and the people who have made huge impacts in North America, Central America and South America. Not only are our Hispanic students learning about where they came from, but the whole school is learning about the Latino culture.
Throughout the month from September 15-October 15, classes are integrating Hispanic Heritage into their curriculum, and several events are taking place.
On Friday, September 27, scholars and staff dressed up in Traditional Hispanic clothing, or as an Icon. Research projects are being displayed in our hallways, and door decorating competition will be complete October 15!
