Did you know that April is commonly known as Volunteer Appreciation Month? This is a time to honor and thank our HAWKsome volunteers for the irreplaceable impact their time and energy has on our students and staff at NTES.
Volunteers at New Town Elementary run the gamut from parents to grandparents to family friends; even the older children of our teachers and former students have been known to help in the classroom or even join in the fun of recess!
Whether they have 15 minutes or several hours, there are so many different ways our HAWKtastic volunteers make a difference and positively influence the learning atmosphere at NTES.
Our volunteers serve as Mystery Readers in the classroom, assist with Duty Free lunch, shelve books in the library, make countless photocopies as part of the Workroom Committee, serve on the PTA, educate our students about cultural activities, roam the school as a W.A.T.C.H Dog Dad, talk about their jobs as they relate to units of study, decorate classroom doors, go on field trips...the list is never ending!
New Town Elementary would not be the school that it is without our Volunteers! You support our teachers and staff with kind words, supplies, yummy snacks and the gift of time and talents. We love and appreciate every single Volunteer that walks into NTES ! THANK YOU!
