Logan Nichols announced as candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 2020 Student of the Year.
Parkwood Junior, Logan Nichols, has been accepted as a candidate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 2020 Students of the Year campaign. Students are nominated based on leadership, passion to find a cure for blood cancers and involvement in the community. Candidates then participate in a national seven-week challenge to raise funds and awareness for the fight against blood cancers. This year's campaign begins on January 26, 2020, and culminates on March 13, 2020 with a celebration in Charlotte.
Last year alone, there were more than 5,000 high school students participating throughout the country and this year we are excited to have Logan represent Parkwood High! She is running in honor of Will Henely and River Peedin, both local cancer survivors. To get involved or learn more about the campaign, please visit www.StudentsoftheYear.org.
