CTE Students Shine

In the past month, our Career and Technical Education students had the opportunity to showcase their skills at the county level during two UCPS competitions.

Mr. Oprea took five teams to the UCPS Fall Robotics classic to compete against other UCPS high schools and came home with 7 awards! Parkwood High School students earned elimination champion award, two elimination finalists awards, design award, sportsmanship award, skills third place award, and overall excellence award. Congrats to all the student winners!

The Future Farmers of America (FFA) club competed in the UCPS Tractor and Truck Driving competition against four other UCPS high schools. Congrats to Carson Schott, Liam Eller, Brian Eudy and Talan Greene for placing 1st in the junior division. And congrats to Jordan Tyson for placing third in the women’s division. Brian Eudy, Carson Schott, and Liam Eller also placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the individual junior division respectively. Thanks to Mr. Fortune and Ms. Ayres for their sponsorship of FFA!
