Our 6th grade students at Parkwood are learning about different cultures in social studies.  One of those cultures is India.  In the photos, Ms. Mable Gracen models for Ms. Emrich’s students the proper way to wear a sari, a garment consisting of a length of cotton or silk elaborately draped around the body, traditionally worn by women from South Asia.  Demonstrations such as these really bring learning to life!
