Space Exploration Summer Camps

Clemson University, in partnership with Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute, has developed a summer research experience for middle and high school students. Students use NASA built radio telescopes, research-grade optical telescopes, and one of the world’s largest archives of astronomical data to conduct independent and group research under the mentorship of astronomers and scientists. They also tour cutting edge astronomy research labs at Clemson University and hear guest speakers share their experiences working in space science.

See the attached flyer here for more details. Also, thanks to a partnership with NC Space Grant, there are scholarships available. Middle school students (ages 11-14) can apply here.
