Piedmont Welcomes New Assistant Principals

Piedmont will be welcoming two new assistant principals to the administrative team this year.  Mari McTamney has been a math teacher in UCPS for the past 25 years and will now be entering the administration arena.  McTamney enjoys the outdoors, attending her children's sporting events, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers with her husband, Ian, who is also a teacher in UCPS.  McTamney's responsibilities include serving as 10th and 11th grade administrator and overseeing parking.  Patrick Ledford will be joining the Piedmont administration after serving as a math teacher, Dean of Students, and 6th grade administrator for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  Mr. Ledford loves sports, especially baseball, where he played for North Meck High School and was a bullpen catcher for the Kannapolis Intimidators!  He further enjoys spending time with his family, watching the Carolina Panthers, and playing golf. Ledford's responsibilities include serving as the 12th grade administrator and overseeing bus transportation and athletics.
