Aubrey Manns is YMCA Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Aubrey Manns, who was presented with the George Williams Award by the Brace Family YMCA on August 30.  Aubrey has over 735 volunteer hours at Camp Boomerang, where she serves as a buddy for campers with diverse abilities.  The award is given to honor one volunteer from each YMCA branch or camp who has demonstrated a commitment to the Y's Christian mission and cause and who has made outstanding contributions to the growth and strength of the branch/camp through their leadership and service.  Aubrey's nomination spoke highly of her contributions to Camp Boomerang as they wrote, "While only 16 years old, Aubrey establishes such a deep and meaningful connection with each camper as evidence by one camper calling her 'bahan', which is sister in Hindi. Congratulations Aubrey, and thanks for giving back to the community in such a meaningful way!
