Piedmont High School AFJROTC was recognized on May 24 as a Distinguished Unit Award winner for the 2021-22 school year by HQ AFJROTC.  This is the 16^th time the program has been recognized with this award in the 27 years since it began here in 1995.  According to Col. McGonigal, Director of AFJROTC, "these units truly represent the best of our 870 AFJROTC units worldwide."  Earning the award results in the cadets receiving the DUA ribbon and the unit being allocated an Air Force Academy nomination to bestow on a cadet the following year.  Congratulations cadets!
