Poplin artists have a lot to celebrate this year. Recently students had artwork displayed in the following art shows.
Union County Student Artist Showcase: The following students were selected for the Union County Student Artist Showcase. Their work was on display from May 4-5 at South Piedmont Community College. Kindergarten: Tanner Frowein, Justin Estwick, 1st Grade: John Thalmann 2nd Grade: Aden Dover, Meredith Hall 3rd Grade: Hayden Justice 4th Grade: Ajna Muratovic, Zander Tolentin, Kali Williams 5th Grade: Mya McCord, Maryn Iversen, Bryce Weber, Leah Teel, Jaden Thurmond, Shakara Brown, Aaron Baucom
Indian Trail Youth Art Exhibit: The following students were selected for the Indian Trail Youth Art Exhibit. Their artwork was on display at the Indian Trail Town Hall from March 21-23. First Grade: Caitlyn Godbey, 2nd Grade: Vivienne Stellakis, Harper Caskey, 3rd Grade: Silvana Rojas, Aiden Stellakis, Oscar Velasco, Zach Bays, 4th Grade: Danielle Matamba, Taylor Spooner, 5th Grade: Aubrey Davis, Leah Teel, Keira Cotter.
On Friday, May 24th Poplin will have it’s annual Talent Show and Art Walk. All Poplin students will have artwork on display throughout the school beginning Friday, May 24. Families are invited to come and enjoy the artwork along with the Talent Show. The Talent Show will begin at 6:30 p.m. on May 24, 2019.
Another Art Celebration: Aubrey Davis, a fifth grader in Ashley Whited’s class had a piece of her artwork selected to be on permanent display at the Indian Trail Town Hall! In addition to having her artwork framed, Aubrey was presented a certificate on May 14, 2019. Check out this article from the Town of Indian Trail website.
