This winter break, Social Studies teacher Kat Smith will have the opportunity to travel to Israel. During her nine day visit, which begins on
December 22nd, she will be visiting different schools in the area, as well as
experiencing life with a host family.
Smith will be fully immersed in the
culture of Israel, witnessing many Jewish traditions, such as the Hanukkah
blessing and Kabbalat Shabbat. During her trip, she will also travel to
Jerusalem, where she will tour the Jewish quarter and attend different museums
such as Yad Vashem, the Herzl Museum, and the Friend of Zion museum. Also, Ms.
Smith will be partaking in the Western Wall tunnels tour, as well as touring
the Seam Line.
