PR celebrated Pirate Palooza Spirit Week

Class Wars Competition

Pirate Palooza was held the week of February 24th-28th and included dress up days and fun student events some evenings that week. Each day of the week there was a theme for what the students could wear. For example on Tuesday, students dressed up in camo. The dress up days encouraged students to show their school spirit. Senior Kanha Persails commented, “I really enjoyed dressing up on the different days of spirit week and that was really fun.”

The spirit week was organized by the PRHS Student Council and included events that took place during the week such as Team Trivia, Gatorball, Capture The Flag, and Class Wars.

Student Council member junior Rachel Kivlan said, “I thought that all of Palooza was fantastic thanks to our Student Council. All of the events were well attended and well planned out, and I believe that everyone had a great time. From Gatorball, which was a blast, Team Trivia, which was a load of fun, Class Wars, which was terrific, to Capture The Flag, our new event that was super awesome, Pirate Palooza 2020 was one to be remembered. My favorite event was probably Class Wars; I cannot believe the amount of energy the underclassmen brought. The energy was amazing and I believe that our school spirit is higher than ever.”

Sophomore Colby Burke said, “I really enjoyed Camo Day and Class Wars. It was all really fun.”

The next spirit week coming up will be Senior Week which will be held in May. That week will be dedicated to honoring and celebrating the Class of 2020!
