UCPS projects approved for bond referendum

The Board of County Commissioners approved a request from the Board of Education to place a bond referendum on the November ballot for Union County Public Schools.

The BOCC agreed to a $54 million bond referendum for seven projects. If the bond passes, the following projects will be funded: a new Transportation Facility, renovations to Monroe High, Porter Ridge High, Sun Valley High, Piedmont High, Porter Ridge Middle and Western Union Elementary.

More information about the bond referendum and the projects will be posted on the UCPS website in the coming weeks.
