UCPS celebrates Holiday Card Contest finalists and winner at breakfast

UCPS Holiday Card Party This year marked the return of the UCPS Holiday Card Contest. After more than 400 students across all grade levels submitted their original, festive artwork to the competition, UCPS announced the holiday card contest finalists and winner in early November.

To celebrate their designs, UCPS hosted a breakfast on Nov. 30 for the finalists as well as their families, art teachers and principals.

During the breakfast, the students had the opportunity to talk about their artwork before being presented with a certificate that recognized their accomplishments.

Porter Ridge Middle student Ashley Cole, whose Season's Greetings design was selected as the winner of the contest, also received a plaque that featured her design as the official UCPS Holiday Card.

Ashley’s artwork is now featured as the cover of the UCPS Holiday Card along with her name, grade and school. As the district’s official holiday card, it will be sent to other school districts and community partners this month.
