Union County Public Schools will hold three events to help families learn more about elementary school choice options for the 2019-2020 school year. During each showcase, school administrators and staff will be available to discuss academic programming, student activities, parent involvement, the application process and more.
On Jan. 23, UCPS announced its list of the 14 elementary schools that have been identified as schools of choice for the 2019-2020 school year. Through School Choice, families may apply for admission through an online lottery process. Transportation is not provided for students who accept a transfer through School Choice.
After evaluating current enrollment numbers, school capacity and ongoing enrollment, the following elementary schools have been identified as schools of choice for the 2019-2020 school year. Fairview, Hemby Bridge, Marshville, Porter Ridge, Prospect, Rocky River, Shiloh, Stallings, Sun Valley, Union, Walter Bickett, Waxhaw, Wesley Chapel and Western Union.
