Union County Board of Education seeks 2020 school construction bond
At its June 2 meeting, the Union County Board of Education unanimously approved an agenda item to request that the Union County Board of County Commissioners present a school construction bond referendum on the November 2020 General Election ballot.
The bond request is for seven projects at a cost of $129,503,270.
The projects include:
- Design and construction (replacement) at Forest Hills High
- Design only (repurpose) the existing Forest Hills High to be the new East Union Middle (construction phase to be on a future construction program)
- Design and construction—field house and central plan addition at Porter Ridge High
- Design and construction—field house and central plan addition at Marvin Ridge High
- Design and construction (replacement) at East Elementary
- Design and construction—five classroom addition at Cuthbertson Middle
- Design/land only (replacement) at Parkwood High
