Heather Davis (Shiloh Valley Elementary)

What do you teach and why did you become a teacher?

I teach third grade at Shiloh Valley Elementary. I became a teacher because my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Cales inspired me through her love of teaching reading. This made me want to teach others how to read and to enjoy books of all varieties.

How do you show your school spirit?

I show school spirit by participating in our events held at school, wearing my teacher shirts out and about in the community, and by sharing the wonderful things we are doing here at Shiloh Valley Elementary.

I would love to be at high school for the day to see where my students are going to be in the upcoming years and to see my past students and how they are doing.

What is one of your hidden talents?

I took piano and clarinet lessons as a child and sang in church.

If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?

Very simply put...be kind to others.
