Morgan Rohleder (Indian Trail Elementary)
What are your most and least favorite subjects and why?
My favorite subject is reading because I like to read, answer questions and I’m pretty good at it. One of my favorite books is “The Island Horse.” It’s about a girl who moves to a new place because her father got a new job. She doesn’t like it there but has to live there. Until one day, she meets one of the wild horses. Then she sets on a mission to save them.
I don’t have a least favorite subject, but I think science can be kind of gross sometimes.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
I would want to travel to London, specifically to visit *Big Ben and try some different foods.
*The Houses of Parliament and Elizabeth Tower, commonly called Big Ben, are among London's most iconic landmarks in London. Big Ben is the name given to the massive bell inside the clock tower, which weighs more than 13 tons.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I don't know yet, but I'm interested in animals and sports. Some possible careers are veterinarian (though I believe I'd cry too much) and animal scientist. I like playing soccer, basketball, softball and baseball. Maybe a professional athlete or a sports announcer could be possibilities.
I enjoy cooking, too. I bake muffins, brownies and other treats.
What do you do for fun?
I have fun with my dogs. I have two, one that I've had for most of my life and the other for about two years. My mom had a friend who couldn't keep the dog, so she offered to take him. He was a bit wild but is much calmer now.
I have two friends at school that I play with at recess.
I play on a soccer team in a league outside of school. I’ve played since I was four years old.
If you had to choose between spaghetti or pizza which would you choose?
I’d choose pizza because it has your grains, meat, fruit (the *tomato sauce), dairy and vegetables.
*Despite being a fruit, tomatoes are typically served in savory dishes, which is why they are frequently referred to as a vegetable in the culinary world.
What three words best describe you?

What is your happiest school memory?
My happiest school memory was in third grade. I had a very nice teacher and I really liked her. She was kind, compassionate and honest. She had a soft voice that made me feel comfortable and at home.
What advice would you give your parents or teachers?
My advice is universal. It would be to be kind, help others and try your best.
