What are your most and least favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subject is art because we get to be creative. We are recreating The Starry Night by Vincent van Gough. It’s cool how we are drawing them. My favorite drawing is the one I made for Ms. Haney (school principal) that she has on her wall.

I like to use colored pencils more than markers because markers go through the paper sometimes.

I don’t have a least favorite subject.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?

I would like to travel to France. I’ve heard it’s really pretty at night. I’d want to try a croissant. Of course, I’d want to see the Eiffel Tower. My cousin went before I was born and said it was beautiful, especially at night. I also want to see a sunset.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I would like to be a teacher or a vet. I would like to be a teacher because I love helping little kids. I like spending time with them and seeing them grow. That’s why I enjoy being a part of our school’s peer tutoring program. It’s made me think about teaching even more.

I’d like to be a vet because I love animals; all animals except snakes. I’m scared of snakes. I used to have a hamster and we had a fish.

What do you do for fun?

I draw people from my imagination for fun. I play with my best friend when we are on the bus. We used to go to each other's houses when we were in the third grade. We try to still see each other when we can.

If you had to choose between spaghetti or pizza, which would you choose?

It’s hard, but I would rather eat spaghetti because the one my mom makes is so good. There’s an Asian one that I love so much. It’s a Vietnamese soup with mainly noodles. We go to a place that sells it and they have other dishes that are just noodles that are good, too. My favorite is the two-egg spicy noodles. If I eat too much of that one, I’d have to go get ice and put it in my mouth to cool it down.

What is your happiest school memory? 

My favorite memory was from fourth grade when I got to attend the kindergarten graduation because I was peer tutoring students from that grade. I was crying because it was emotional to see them doing well and going to the next grade.

Stay strong, you’ve got this. Don’t let anything get you down.
