What does it take to make a Google Doodle (a moving Google logo)? Fourth and fifth graders here at Sandy Ridge are learning just how much work goes into being a “Google Doodler” or one of the artist/computer programmers that designs the moving logos we see everytime we type a Google search.
Using “sprites” and various “events” and the Scratch program, students in Mrs. More’s STEAM lab have created logos that bounce, whirl, change colors and pixelate. In Mrs. LoPresto’s music class students are writing original music measures so that their sprites can have sound. All combined, students will have a unique Google doodle that they created from scratch!
