Shiloh and Sun Valley Elementary Schools host international visitors!

Dr. Houlihan speaks to conference attendees at Shiloh. On February 6, Shiloh hosted twenty five visitors to their schools who were in Charlotte for the Seventh International Conference on Immersion and Dual Language Education. The visitors arrived in the morning by charter bus, hosted by Dr. Tom Bulla, UCPS’ Director of Human Resources Operation. The visitors were then greeted by UCPS Superintendent Dr. Andrew Houlihan in Shiloh’s Media Center.

Dr. Houlihan addressed and welcomed the guests. The group  included principals, superintendents, central office staff, and teachers from around our country and from other countries as well. Shiloh’s principal Mr. Spencer and Sun Valley Elementary’s Principal Dr. Rodgers then spoke to the group and led them through tours of Spanish immersion classrooms at both schools. The principals were proud to host our superintendent and our visitors on this memorable day.

This was a great way to show the world all of the great work that is going on in our Dual Language Immersion classrooms in UCPS!
