Caps and Gowns
Black caps, gowns, and tassels will be provided for this year’s graduation ceremony. However, if you would like to purchase your child’s cap and gown, the cost will be $12.00. Your child will be able to keep the tassel. Payment will need to be made in full by money order payable to South Providence School or cash by May 24th. Payment made by money order may be mailed to the school’s address to the attention of Rosemary Ward. Please hand deliver, if paying in cash.
Senior Attire for Graduation
To ensure a dignified ceremony, seniors are required to abide by a dress code at graduation. Seniors who are not properly dressed will not be able to participate in the graduation exercises. Gentlemen are asked to wear navy or dark dress pants, a white dress shirt, dark tie, dark socks and dark dress shoes. Ladies should wear a dress or skirt (not pants), a top that will not show beneath the gown, and dress shoes. Preferable dark shoes. No tennis shoes, boat shoes, stilettoes, or flip flops are permitted for any students.
You are welcome to bring as many guests as you would like. We ask that guests refrain from bringing celebratory items (ex. Bullhorns, balloons, etc.) into the auditorium. Graduation is an honorable ceremony and we ask that your guests refrain from shouting and talking during the ceremony. There will be plenty of time to celebrate after the ceremony.
On Tuesday, May 14th, graduates planning to seek higher studies, enlist in the military, or entering the workforce will be recognized. Please contact Debbie Nichols, High School Counselor, for additional information, 704-290-1580, ext. 6156.
