From October 23rd to the 31st, students and staff recognized Red Ribbon Week here at South Providence.
The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week, October 23rd – 31st each year.
This year, studnets and staff recognized the week in many fun ways!
Wednesday October 23rd was Backwards Day, where we wore our clothes backwards to turn our backs on drugs.
Thursday, October 24th was Nerd Day, since we are too smart for drugs!
Friday, October 25th was Jersey Day, to show that we must team up against drugs.
Monday, October 28th was Sweat Pants Day, because being drug free is no sweat!
Tuesday, October 29th was Army Fatigue Day, to help us wage war on drugs.
Wednesday, October 30th was College Day, and we all wore our college gear.
Thursday, October 31st was Red Day, and we all wore red to help end Red Ribbon Week.
