My name is Domenica Vargas, and I was born in Ecuador South America. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Urban Youth and Communities.

I am a teacher because I want to make a positive impact on children’s lives. I want my future students to find the value in their voice so they can feel empowered. As a first-year kindergarten teacher, I hope the school year is filled with opportunities, fosters growth, and embraces diversity and inclusion. I enjoy watching Korean dramas, trying new foods, and hiking.
