Please welcome our new principal, Mrs. Williams

Please welcome our new principal, Mrs. WilliamsDear Families,

I am honored to be serving as the Shiloh Valley Primary School Principal, and could not be more excited about the opportunity to work with the school community. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and I would like to share a little bit about myself. I currently reside in Waxhaw with my husband Chance and our two sons, Avery and Corey. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, read, play outside with the boys, and take walks.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a concentration in Birth through Kindergarten Licensure and my Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Wingate University. Additionally, I completed my add-on degree in Educational School Leadership at Wingate University.

I began my teaching career in Union County Public Schools in 2008, and I have served in several roles over the past fourteen years. I began by teaching Title 1 Pre-Kindergarten and then transitioned into First Grade. During this time, I also received specialized educational training and became a Reading Recovery Teacher, where I served students with special reading needs. I worked for the UCPS Elementary Department as an Instructional Content Facilitator, and in this role, I supported district initiatives, developed curriculum, and delivered district professional development. Most recently, I was an Assistant Principal at New Town Elementary for 5 years.

I am excited to be a part of the Shiloh Valley Primary family. More information will be coming soon regarding a meet and greet with families. My first day at SVPS will be Monday, February 7th. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Lindsey Williams, Principal
