Interact Club members attend Seminar For Tomorrow's Leaders at Wingate University

Since 2009, Rotarians from District 7680 in partnership with the Center for Creative Leadership’s (CCL) Leadership Beyond Boundaries initiative, have transformed students’ lives by delivering a research-based intensive, transformative and empowering leadership development program for rising high school juniors and seniors.

The same leadership development framework used for global executives, policymakers and military officers is successfully applied to students participating in this four-day program.  Students live together in a learning community on the Wingate University campus and progress through a sequence of highly interactive experiences to learn and apply relevant and meaningful leadership skills.

Participants must be selected and sponsored by one of the Rotary clubs within the 14 NC counties included in Rotary District 7680.  A total of 60 select students, including 6 from Sun Valley’s Interact Club sponsored by the Union West Rotary, were chosen for the 2019 event.

The Sun Valley Interact Club brings together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.  If you are interested in joining the Interact Club or would like more information email Mrs. Monro at for details.
