Mrs. Lashley’s book club gathered 210 books for Promising Pages, a Charlotte-based, non-profit organization. Freshman, Will Ross, took the lead and organized the book drive at UCEC. Will told us he has a family member who donates books every year and that he strives to follow in his footsteps. Will is also interested in collecting books from students in public schools that have a larger population. Promising Pages collects new and gently used books, and donates them to those living in areas around Charlotte where there is a dearth of books. Will and the book club are amazing student leaders and we are proud to support this great cause.
