Fred Ingold Music Festival

Fred Ingold Music Festival

The second grade students of Union County attend the Fred Ingold Music Festival concert, held at Forest Hills High School.  The Fred Ingold Festival is held every March and continues to be a special event among our second grade students. The ensemble members demonstrate and explain how sound is produced on their individual instruments. The festival concludes with the audience singing, “America.”

This festival is named for the late Mr. Fred Ingold, a former Union County principal.  Mr. Ingold was a huge supporter of the arts at his schools.

The funding for the Fred Ingold Festival is generously provided by the Union County Community Arts Council through the Arts in Our Schools Grant. The elementary music teachers of Union County are extremely grateful to this organization for continuing support.
