Wildcats work hard to learn the Research Process

“My fifth grade class worked extremely hard to learn the research process and to gather information about their chosen topics. The students chose topics from our fifth grade Social Studies standards. They formulated questions to use when researching their topic using three or more sources. They learned to write an outline to help organize their research. They wrote a five paragraph paper including quotations and citing sources. They compiled a bibliography of the sources they used. In addition, the students made a visual aid to represent their topic. The students did an excellent job of presenting their paper and visual aid to the class.” Mrs. Fogartie, WDES 5th Grade Teacher.
