Jethro Rogers, the Therapy Dog, visits our Wildcats

After reading a "Wordly Wise" passage about how dogs can help people; today, Ms. Morgan's fifth-grade class got to meet a very special visitor, Jethro Rogers! Jethro, a two-year-old, rescued Great Dane who weighs about 130 pounds, is a certified Therapy Dog who serves the students and staff of Weddington Middle School. According to the America Kennel Club, "Therapy dogs bring many physical benefits to the humans they visit. They may help lower blood pressure and heart rate, and reduce anxiety." Our students enjoyed spending time with such a gentle and sweet "giant" dog!
Thank you Mrs. Amy Rogers for sharing Jethro with our Wildcats today!!
