During the Family Night at the Book Fair last week, our NEW Book Vending Machine was officially revealed to students, staff, and parents through a very special ribbon-cutting ceremony in the hallway outside of the Media Center. The vending machine was purchased by the WDES Media Center with proceeds from past book fairs to be used as an incentive reading program for all students. Special Area teachers will give away Magic Golden Coins as a reward system to purchase books from the vending machine throughout the year. Books can only be purchased using these Magic Golden Coins. The machine does not accept $ coins. The machine will be “on” only on Fridays, and students will be allowed to purchase books during the special area times. The book vending machine is not a fundraising program, it’s a reading and behavior incentive!
