This year WHS has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Union County to provide staff and students with volunteer opportunities.
The volunteering takes place on Saturdays and as a school we will see a habitat house built from start to finish.
The staff members pictured below (Dr. Jay Jones, Elizabeth Biddy, Andrea Cook, Marni Menkin, Laura Heffner, Glenna Bowen, and Vincent Louis) worked October 5th to build the door and window frames.
Other clubs that have volunteered their time are members of DECA, Spanish Honor Society, ROTC, and Mr. Conroy’s classes. Clubs and students can continue to sign up to volunteer on Saturdays through December 21st, 2019.
On that day, the house will be dedicated to the family at 10am.
We hope all students that have been a part of helping to build the house can come to the dedication. If you have any questions or are interested in getting involved, please e-mail Mrs. Cook at email@example.com.
