Wesley Chapel Celebrates Read Across America Day...Global style!

The day was filled with a variety of activities, focused on reading and incorporating a Global focus for Read Across America Day.  Students started the day with a special themed breakfast, Green Eggs and Ham!  Throughout the entire school day, students engaged in reading activities and dedicated 15 minutes every hour to "Drop Everything and Read" time.  In addition, administration were invited into classrooms via video streaming to share their favorite Dr. Seuss books, with the focus on global differences.  Dr. Gravely, school principal read aloud, "Oh the Places You'll Go,"  reminding students to always chase their hopes and dreams.   During lunch period, students were invited to enjoy foods from different areas of the world!  Students were able to chose from a variety of foods, including food from the United Kingdom, Europe, Mexico, and more!   Finally, we had a whole school birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss by enjoying themed cupcakes!  It was a wonderful day for all! Students enjoying our themed breakfast of Green Eggs and Ham!
