Students in grades 3-5 participated in a BlackHistory Scavenger Hunt to learn more about influential African Americans. Students worked together answering questions and reading about people such as Jackie Robinson, Ruby Bridges, Sojourner Truth, and many others. Students also learned the history behind BlackHistory Month and why we celebrate in February! The best part of this project was students were able to recognize familiar names and names of influential African Americans who are still making history today!
Students in grades K-2 learned more about why we celebrate BlackHistory month! Students were able to learn about MLK Jr. and his dream to create unity and peace. Students envisioned and created their own dreams about how they can make the world a better place, just like MLK Jr.
