Mrs. Elden’s 5^th Grade Science Classes

Mrs. Elden’s fifth grade Science classes are working hard on their “Matter and Energy” unit.  During this time, they experimented with evaporation by filling up a small cup with water and another cup with water and salt.  They noticed that, within several days, the water had evaporated from both cups and the salt was left behind.  The experiment helped us learn about evaporation and thermal energy.  This also introduced a discussion about our Weather unit and the water cycle as well!
