Music and Recycling

Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts enjoyed a performance by Mr. Billy Jonas on Wednesday March 20. Students loved the high energy and the audience engagement. Billy creates incredible musical sounds by recycled things found in our world. Mr. Billy Jonas is pictured with musical instruments from recycled objects. Students sang and painted pictures in the air from their imagination and even created their own song during the show. “Billy does an incredible job of collaborating the arts with an academic focus through his performance,” stated Mr. Casstevens, Arts Coordinator at BHESA.

Students are now official members of his bucket brigade and received membership cards to have as a reminder to make our world a better place. S

pecial thanks to the UCCAC for bringing this performance to our school.
