Message from Mr. Childers January 6, 2019

Hello Parents,

This is Tom Childers contacting you from Antioch Elementary. I hope everyone had a terrific break. Students return to school on Monday, January 7th with 99 days of school remaining for the current year. On Wednesday our classroom teachers with be provided with a duty free lunch and I ask a parent from each class to assist with supervision of students during lunch. Class photographs will be taken on Thursday. Friday night is Antioch Night at the Charlotte Checkers Game. Click this link for details GOCHECKERS.COM/ANTIOCH.

I encourage everyone to drive safely in our parking lot. I remind drivers that our car rider line is a single line until directed by our staff. Cars should NEVER pass on the wrong side of the road. Please be on the lookout for pedestrians.

The principal's Reading Club will resume in January. Please remember to track your child's reading during January. I have attached the form to this email.  I will send home a hard copy during the week of January 7th. Students who complete the PRC criteria will be recognized along with the top performers for myON and IXL. This recognition will take place in early February.

Kindergarten Registration for 2019-2020 will begin on February 1st. Look for more information soon.
