Message from Mr. Childers October 13, 2019
This is Tom Childers contacting you from Antioch Elementary School. Our Fall Book Fair is this week. Parents are welcome to attend Pastries with Parents on Tuesday and Wednesday. We offer a guideline of the following times: Parents with children in grades 3-5 should attend between 7:00 am and 7:45 am while parents with children in grades K-2 should attend between 7:45 am and 8:30 am. Donuts will be provided in the cafeteria along with, milk, juice and coffee. Parking is limited in the main parking lot, however parents may also parent in the bus lot and in the grass. Union County Sherriff Deputies will assist with parking. Students who are late to class because of Pastries with Parents will not be marked as tardy.
The Antioch Elementary School Improvement Team will meet on Wednesday. You may email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or your grade level representative with questions or concerns.

From October 21st – 25th, students are encouraged to bring in NEW socks (men’s/women’s/children’s) to donate to local homeless shelters. There will be collection bins in the front lobby and the gym by the windows.
Students in grades 3rd, 4th and 5th will participate in a classroom spelling bee competition. Each classroom winner will advance to the Antioch School Spelling Bee on November 1st. Practice lists are available on the Antioch Elementary Website.
GATORTHON PRIZE UPDATE
We expect to have Gatorthon Prizes delivered to school on 10/25. We recently decided to change vendors for our prizes, which resulted in a significant cost savings, but has also caused a delay in getting prizes delivered to students. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience as we make this change!
Union County Public Schools is sponsoring the Annual Holiday Card Contest. Click the link for details.
