Message from Mr. Childers

October 23, 2022

Hello Parents,

This is Tom Childers contacting you from Antioch Elementary. On Friday, I lived up to my promise of kissing a pig. This was part of the Gatorthon Fundraiser. Our community did a terrific job. Here is the video.

The school year continues to move along very quickly. We have several exciting events this week. On Tuesday, our staff will offer the first in a series of parents reading workshops. Due to the parent interest we will offer two sessions on October 25, 2022. Please register for this event. NOTE: Each session will be limited to 35 participants and registration will be closed once each session is full.  Click here to register for the workshop.

Socktober is sponsored by the Antioch Ambassador Club October 24 through October 28. We are asking each student to bring in a brand new pair of socks to donate to a local homeless shelter. Collection bins will be in the front lobby of the school. Students can wear crazy socks on October 28 to celebrate!  On Friday, the Antioch and the PTO Trunk or Treat event is scheduled from 4-6pm. It will be located in the bus parking lot. We have over 10 teacher trunks participating in the event and 30 total signed up!!  Please continue to let families know about the event and that they can donate candy up until 10/27 and drop off at the bin by the front office. Anyone signed up to decorate a trunk can begin to set up in the parking lot at 3pm. PTO will be on site to designate your spot and fill your car with candy to be handed out to the children. We look forward to seeing you there!
