Hello Parents,
This is Tom Childers contacting you from Antioch Elementary. Parents please note that the car rider line will close daily at 7:25am. If you arrive after that time, you will need to park your car and walk students to the front door. If your child arrives after the 7:30am bell, parents are required to come into the building to sign in students who are tardy. I encourage you to arrive early if you wish to utilize the car rider line for morning drop off.
Here are a few items that will take place during the next few weeks. The PTO Executive Board will meet on January 12th. January 16th is MLK Holiday . Our Third Graders will take a field trip to Discovery Place on January 18th. Students in grades 3-5 will enjoy a presentation from the Bright Star Touring Theater on January 19th. The Antioch Elementary School Improvement Team will meet on January 19th. Class pictures will be taken on January 20th. There is no school for students on January 27th as it is a teacher workday.

This information will allow me to respond to your question or concern more quickly. Parents may access all archived messages on the school website. Our school phone number is 704 296-3005. I strongly encourage you to listen to your voice message before returning a missed call from the school. Antioch Elementary has nearly a hundred staff members and it is sometimes very difficult for our office staff to determined who called you. Please note that our school receives many phone calls each day.

Union Power Cooperative is pleased to offer Touchstone Energy Sports Camp Scholarships this summer. Young women can apply for a scholarship to attend the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp on June 18-22 at N.C. State University in Raleigh. Young men can apply for a scholarship to attend the Carolina Basketball School which will be held June 17-21 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. IXL This online learning platform provides your child with opportunities to practice Reading and Math skills. This resource is a terrific supplement to learning but does not replace quality instruction. Your child can certainly use this platform to enhance their learning. Students may practice previously learned information or challenge themselves with above grade level concepts. Your child should have a username and a password to access this great resource. Our school serves breakfast from 7:00am - 7:20am. Students who arrive in the cafeteria after 7:20am will not be permitted to eat breakfast. Lunch is served daily and you may click here to view the menu.

Parents are permitted to have lunch with their child (M-Th) - SEE THE SCHEDULE BELOW. Students may have one visitor due to seating limitations. Lunch with your child is open on Monday through Thursday ONLY.
