The fourth graders have been been focussing on Globalization! Our students studied the country of Jamaica! In Ms. Geiger’s class, the students completed a research project on famous Jamaicans.

In partner groups, students researched famous people from Jamaica. The celebrities ranged from Usain Bolt (Olympian) to Bob Marley (Musician). They learned about their childhood, successes, and other fun facts.

Students presented their research to their peer, teaching each other about each famous Jamaican.  They practiced displaying confidence, speaking loudly and clearly, and other presentational skills.
