  • Student Incentive Plan
To encourage and reward positive student academic effort, behavior, attendance, and conduct, we will implement a six-week incentive program, which supports our students’ academic, behavioral, and social growth.  During each six-week grading period, students who meet specified criteria will earn the opportunity to participate in a school-based incentive, which will occur during Related Arts classes.  The second incentive program will begin January 21, 2016 and conclude March 9, 2016.  Please encourage your child to work diligently and earn the opportunity to celebrate his/her academic success, behavior, attendance, and conduct.

  • Athletes and Perspective Athletes
Prior to Open Gym or tryouts students must have a current health physical that is valid through the end of their respective sports season.  Also, students must have an insurance waiver form that specifically states all sports or their individual sport and it must be notarized.  Finally, all students must have a completed concussion form signed and dated.  If these forms are not completed prior to Open Gym or team tryouts, students will not be able to participate.

  • Pirates Going Global
Porter Ridge Middle is excited to begin a service-learning project this month that will culminate in a fundraiser for Mercy Corps. Students will be learning about our global refugee crisis by mapping out routes of refugees through lessons provided by the globalization committee. The fundraiser will be from February 22 - 26. Our goal is to raise $2,000 for this worthy cause. Donations can be made by students or directly to the Porter Ridge Middle School page on Mercy Corps via Canvas.  For the complete letter please click here.
