  • 6th Grade Dental Service Offered
    Attention 6th Grade Parents:
    Your child will be receiving a handout for the Sealant Project given by the NC Oral Health Section. This project will be free. If you are interested in participating, there is limited space so please return as soon as possible. Only the first 100 students will be accepted into the project. The project will take place the week of Dec. 5-9 at PRMS.

  • Team UCPS Night with the Charlotte Hornets
    Come see the Charlotte Hornets take on the Boston Celtics!  October 29 is Team UCPS Night with the Charlotte Hornets. Through this promotion, UCPS employees, students, family members and friends are eligible for a discount on game tickets.

  • After School Tutoring Program
    PRMS will begin a formalized after-school tutoring program where students will have the opportunity to register for Math, Language Arts, and 8th Grade Science support. The program runs from 4 pm to 5 pm so please make sure your child has a ride waiting at 5 pm. Parents must provide transportation home, as there will be no school transportation home. There is limited space. In order to register, please click on your child’s grade-level link that is located below and complete the registration process.

    On September 29, 2016, Porter Ridge Middle School’s National Junior Beta Club inducted 82 eighth grade students into its ranks. Students were invited to join this club based on high academic excellence, quality character, good conduct, and the possession of leadership traits. Members and their parents joined together to celebrate this achievement at an induction ceremony and reception held at PRMS.

    Clubs are usually thought of as an afterschool, extra-curricular part of the school experience. From art club to Spanish club, afterschool organizations have sought to bring students together in common interests. Porter Ridge has taken that idea one step further.
